I am reposting this today to present the idea of pilates as a practice. I am so grateful each and every day for the commitment my clients show to their personal growth and well-being.

Be still sad heart and cease repining;
Behind the clouds the sun is shining,
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life a little rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.
— Longfellow

One way to maintain balance during difficult times is to learn and practice responding to physical challenges in our bodies. Physical challenge can range from daily discomforts which we tend to ignore to high performance goals we set for ourselves. It often arises from inherent developmental imbalances or injuries. The focus at Bodies Mind® Studio is on restoring balance and increasing strength and resiliency in the physical body, with full recognition of the body-mind connection.

As we gain confidence in responding to physical challenge, we gain a new perspective on life. We choose to act with elegance, repose, and respect for the person we now are and who we are becoming. This ripples out to all of our relationships. With this perspective, we view life's losses and difficulties as gifts which serve to ultimately increase our sense of peace and happiness.

Keep on moving!
